MASTV, whose headquarter lies in the Macau Special Administrative Region, started to broadcast on March 15th,2004. MASTV is an overseas satellite TV in the Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Southeast Asia, and it was granted to broadcasting Mandarin TV programs in the Chinese mainland by the State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT). Hotels over 3-star rating, foreign-related communities, scientific research institutions, economic development zones and parts of digital cable television networks can receive the program signals of MASTV for 24 hours all day long.
Programs are transmitted via Asiasat 5 and APSTAR VI satellites. Signals cover more than 60 countries and regions, including Chinese mainland, Taiwan , Hong kong and Macau, Southeast Asia , Egypt, Israel , Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi-Arabia, Australia, New Zealand and Russia. It great influence in Southeast Asia; News and information center for the cross-strait Chinese and coverage in Hong Kong, Macau ,Taiwan and some areas in Chinese Mainland; Digital cable coverage in Guangdong province with a population of over 230 million; Overseas coverage in Hong Kong , Macau, Taiwan and Southeast Asia with a population of over 25 million covered.
